Students, Parents and a student’s previous Academic counselors have the opportunity to meet with our Registrar and Guidance Counselor to help design an Academic Plan that meets the student’s needs and targeted dates for completion.
Upon meeting with the Registrar, previous transcripts are obtained and the Guidance Counselor and Registrar will review courses completed and create an academic plan that is in accordance with State Graduation requirements.
Because our classes are available 24 hours a day and self-paced, target completion dates can be customized to fit the student and school timelines needed for completion. Our school Counselor can provide guidance for course alternatives, course load and course options to complete the course within a given time frame.
Course Timelines:
Counselors set individual target for courses using an 18 week semester and 36 week year standard course target completion date. Students taking less than a full load or students that do not have a schedule allowing for regular on-time graduation will be provided a customized course timeline in accordance to the recommendations from the partnering district and E2020 Counselor.
Graduation Academic Requirements:
Park City Independent uses the Web Administrator Learning Management System and Student Information System in order to determine if students have met the minimum graduation requirements. The requirements, which are up to date with Florida's 2011-2012 state graduation requirements, are delineated below:
